Announcing our next event: Sept 7 at Four Seasons Hotel!

Personal finance has often been a scary concept for the average American consumer.  A new slate of credit card regulations aimed to protect the consumer have actually made the landspace more confusing. Traditionally, banks and investment institutions have often had the upper hand in controlling access to account and finance information, and make it difficult for the average American consumer to understand how their money actually works.

A revolution in personal finance has allowed a new generation of Internet connected consumers the ability to understand, manage, spend, and share money as never before.  Through the use of integrated finance systems, mobile applications, and financial education, these tools help the consumer to understand what is happening with their money real time.

Join Internet Is People, in partnership with Four Seasons Hotel New York and Pace University, for a panel discussion and Q&A with some of the leaders of the the “Personal Finance Revolution”.   Listen to their personal and professional stories as they share how and why they turned to the Internet to help consumers understand their money.

Panelists include:

Josh Reich, CEO of BankSimple
Mark Armstrong, Director of Content from Bundle
Caroline Waxler, Chief Content Officer at LearnVest

(We regret to announce the last minute cancellation of Andrew Kortina)

The panel will be moderated by Kate Miltner.

Tickets are $20 - which includes access to the panel discussion, and an after-panel networking session featuring wine and passed hors d’oeuvres from  Four Seasons’ Garden Wine Bar.

This weekend, while packing my girls up to go to the Town Park Pool to escape the heat, I had an idea. The more I think about it, the more badly I want it. In the meanwhile, it’s picked up a some steam.

I commented about it to Fred Wilson in an AVC.com comment, who liked it, and then…

This could be an excellent opportunity for any of the guests of our first “Women And Entrepreneurship” panel to meet up.
